CSFP (Compact Small Form Factor Pluggable) that is, Compact SFP, is the development of more advanced and compact CSFP package based on the now popular SFP package. Through the use of dual-channel, four-channel design, CSFP uses the existing SFP common interface, but will reduce the form factor to half and a quarter of the existing industry standard, through a combination of flexible configuration of the number of channels. If you continue to use the traditional discrete components program, then it will be technically difficult to achieve the above functions.

CSFP combined with highly integrated optoelectronic integration technology, in possession of all the technical advantages of the SFP on the basis of a substantial reduction in the optical transceiver module and optical system equipment form factor, significantly increase the density of communication ports and data throughput, reduce system costs, is expected to make a big difference in the data communications market.


F-tone Compact small form-factor pluggable CSFP transceiver and a compact small form-factor CSFF transceiver supports network systems, especially those deploying single-fiber bidirectional transceivers in high density applications.


The CSFP MSA defines a transceiver mechanical form-factor with latching mechanism and a host board, SFP-like, electrical edge connector and cage. The CSFF MSA also defines a transceiver mechanical form-factor.


The dual-channel CSFP compatible with the standard SFP cage. The single-channel CSFP and CSFF are half the size of the industry-standard SFP and SFF packages. The CSFF design is modular to enable configurations of integrated 2ch modules. In future Eotpolink will develop 4ch CSFP modules.


These highly integrated compact transceiver modules will enable network system vendors to increase port density and data throughput, while reducing network equipment cost.
